Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player
Chapter 900: Mirror of Truth (part 3)Graham's glowing bow was materialized in the clone's hand. The light emanating from the bowstring was almost mesmerizing, reflecting off the snowflakes that continued to fall around them, transforming the green plain into a field covered in sparkling white.
"So you have access to my creations too," Kaizen murmured, taking the Indomitable Shield against the body from his inventory. He knew the power of the Graham Bow, a formidable weapon that required skill and precision. "But don't think that's going to stop me."
The clone smiled, deftly pulling the luminous string, an arrow of pure energy formed. "Let's see how well you really know your own weapons."
Before Kaizen could react, the clone fired the arrow. He instinctively raised his shield, the impact reverberating through the enchanted metal and forcing him to take a step back. The explosion of light was blinding, and Kaizen felt the heat of the energy run through his body, even though he was shielded.
"Too fast," thought Kaizen, his heart racing. He would need to be more agile and strategic if he wanted to overcome his clone. "I can't just react. I have to anticipate."
Without wasting any time, Kaizen advanced, moving in a zigzag pattern to make it difficult for the clone to aim. He held his shield in front of him, ready to block another arrow, but instead of attacking directly, he planned a different maneuver.
The clone continued firing, each arrow an explosion of light and energy that Kaizen blocked with calculated precision. Each impact forced him to recalibrate his position, but he moved fluidly, as if he were part of the snow itself.
Then, when he was at a favorable distance, Kaizen made an unexpected move. He threw the Indomitable Shield into the air, diverting the clone's attention for a brief moment. In a split second, he materialized the Spear of Capable Fury in his hand, the weapon pulsing with electrical energy.
"Now!" With a shout, Kaizen threw the spear with all his might, the weapon flying like lightning towards the clone.
Surprised, the clone tried to dodge, but was completely unsuccessful. The spear hit its shoulder, a burst of electricity radiating through the clone's body, forcing it to drop the bow and fall to its knees.Kaizen gave the clone no time to recover. He rushed to catch the falling Indomitable Shield, spinning in the air to resume his defensive position. But the clone, even wounded, wasn't ready to give up. With a monumental effort, he stood up, his pained expression transformed into fierce determination.
"Don't underestimate your own strength, Kaizen," said the clone, his voice laden with pain and anger. He raised his hand, and another weapon materialized: the Claws of the Dragon, sharp and covered in runes that glowed with an eerie light.
Kaizen recognized the Claws immediately. They were devastating weapons in hand-to-hand combat, capable of cutting through even the toughest armor. He would need all his skill to face this new threat.
The two advanced against each other, the snow rising up in swirls around them. Kaizen attacked first, using his shield to deflect the quick blows of the clone's Claws. The sound of metal against metal echoed across the plain, each clash of weapons a display of strength and skill.
Kaizen spun the shield, trying to disarm the clone, but it was just as skillful. With one agile movement, the clone slid under Kaizen's shield, its Claws ready to strike. Kaizen stepped back, feeling the wind from the blades pass dangerously close to his face.
"You're persistent," Kaizen shouted, taking a few steps back and breathing heavily. "But so am I."
He dematerialized the shield and summoned the Sword of Dawn, a sword burning with eternal flames. Sparks danced around the blade, illuminating the battlefield with an intense orange light.
The clone didn't hesitate. It lunged forward with its Claws, but Kaizen was ready. With one swift movement, he blocked the attack and countered with a fiery slash that sent the clone reeling backwards.
The sparks and flames mixed with the snow, creating a surreal sight.
Kaizen and his clone continued to fight, exchanging blows with an intensity that reflected Kaizen's internal struggle against his own fears. The battle seemed endless. Every time one of the Kaizens was pushed back, he got up again, more determined than before.
The clone used all the weapons and techniques Kaizen had learned throughout his journey, but Kaizen knew his own weaknesses and strengths better than anyone.
Finally, Kaizen saw an opening. With a calculated move, he disarmed the clone, the Fire Blade slicing through one of its Claws and forcing it backwards. Before the clone could recover, Kaizen materialized the Ragnarok Sword in his other hand, the blade glowing with a cold blue light.
"This ends now," Kaizen declared, lunging forward with both swords. The clone tried to defend itself, but Kaizen was relentless. With one decisive blow, he completely disarmed the clone, the Ragnarok Sword piercing the ground next to the fallen clone.
The clone, breathing heavily, looked at Kaizen with a mixture of respect and resignation. nσvel.cøm
"You win, Kaizen," he said, raising his hands. "But remember, this victory is only the beginning. Facing your fears is an ongoing process."
Kaizen, still panting, nodded. He knew the clone's words were true. This battle was a reflection of his internal struggle, a journey he would need to continue. With one last look at his clone, he dematerialized the swords and held out his hand.
The clone smiled, accepting Kaizen's hand. As they touched, the clone began to disappear, its form dissipating into pure light that was absorbed by Kaizen, who felt a wave of strength fill him, a sense of acceptance of his own weaknesses and fears. Then everything around Kaizen began to disappear, leaving him in a completely dark world.
Kaizen blinked for a moment and when he opened his eyes, he expected to find himself in front of the mirror again, but in reality he found Charles Richards, with his gray hair and beard, looking at him closely.
