Listening to the spine-chilling screams of the Hive Mind, the playful smile on Yu Zi Yu’s lips deepened.
At the same time, the Giant Tree phantom manifestation behind him flickered more erratically. Even the entire starry sky started to feel oppressive.
Visible to the naked eye, a dark shadow seemed to overcast the entire starry sky as an indescribable pressure continued to mount…
“Do you… really think you have a choice?” The voice, cold and mocking, echoed from the depths of the starry sky.
“I…” stuttering bitterly, the Hive Mind trembled with dread.
That chilling aura, as cold as death itself, had already seeped deep into its heart.
Yet, even in this state, the Hive Mind stubbornly gritted its teeth and cautiously asked, “How about… we revise this covenant a little…”
There was no response, only a deathly silence that sent a chill down the Hive Mind’s spine.
“Just a little, really, just a little…” Once again, it mustered the courage to probe, its voice trembling as if overcome by fear.
The feeling of having no control over its life and death made it profoundly uncomfortable…In that moment, staring at the still and silent Star God and the looming shadow of the Giant Tree, its heart sank further.
At this point, it was even tempted to say, ‘Let’s just sign it as it is…’
However, before these words could leave its mouth—
“Haha…” A burst of laughter suddenly resounded throughout the starry sky, dispelling the coldness seeping into the surroundings, bringing gentle warmth like a spring breeze.
“My future ally, it’s just a matter of revising the contract… No big deal. If you want to change it, then change it… Don’t be so tense… Isn’t it about revising the territorial divisions? How about this—your activity range can be around the Milky Way, keeping an eye on the borders for me… and, you’re worried about your Daughter, right? I’ll take her as my apprentice and hold a grand ceremony for it…”
One sentence after another, spoken with a surprising warmth and familiarity.
At this moment, anyone who knew Yu Zi Yu well would have found it hard to believe that this was truly him.
Be that as it may, Yu Zi Yu really did not care about any of that: Subduing the Zergs was already an unexpected delight.
In fact, he had been prepared for the Zerg Hive to decide to rather die than submit. He had really not expected for the Hive Mind to fear death so much and choose to compromise.
All in all, it could be said that he was just lucky to stumble upon a Hive Mind with a fear of death. If that was not a pleasant surprise, what was?
*Haha…* Feeling a sense of satisfaction rising within him, Yu Zi Yu’s Void Elf Form put away his purple Star Bow and took a step towards the depths of the Zerg Hive…
Of course, at that moment, his gaze shifted to his status screen, and the grin on his face grew even wider.
[Damn, over ten billion Evolution Points? Even if I slaughter all of Elysia, it would not be enough…] His excitement was barely containable.Yu Zi Yu knew that this time, he had truly struck gold.
With so many Evolution Points, all his abilities and Innate Talents would undergo a qualitative transformation. It might even make his status screen look entirely new.
Thrilled, he was absolutely thrilled.
Originally, he had planned to quietly explore the starry sky and compete with the myriad races. But unexpectedly, his luck was so great that before he had even truly set foot into the vast starry sky, fate had delivered him this ‘God of Fortune.’
…
Not long after, in the deepest part of the Zerg Hive, inside one of the largest dark stars, lay a pitch-black cave.
Though it was called a cave, it resembled more of a palace.
It was not lavish, but it was certainly spacious and well-lit.
Moreover, the place had an air of sophistication.
While it was not paved with white jade or lined with Spirit Stones, the black ground beneath his feet, deep and reflective like obsidian with starry patterns, caught Yu Zi Yu’s eye, leaving him astonished.
“Tier-4 Ore, and a top-tier one that I’ve never seen at that… En, these Zergs are truly rich.” Yu Zi Yu remarked, as he nonchalantly walked deeper into the cave, as if no one was there, ignoring the bewildered expression of the Hive Mind.
“Your Daughter is in seclusion here, isn’t she?” With a mischievous grin, Yu Zi Yu made no attempt to hide his intentions.
“Yes…” The psychic waves of the Hive Mind trembled as it continued, “If I calculate correctly, she should be waking soon.”
“How could she not wake up when her future Master has arrived?” Yu Zi Yu chuckled softly, a playful look on his face.
The Zerg Queen was a rare gem Yu Zi Yu had spotted with his Heavenly Eye.
At his current level, his standards were exceedingly high. For someone to be called a ‘good seedling’ by him was no small matter.
Even though she was only at the Demigod Realm, her Psychic Power was astonishingly strong, with psychic waves entirely different from other powerful beings. If there were not any unforeseen surprises, she would possess extraordinary Psychic Talent.
As a matter of fact, one of the reasons Yu Zi Yu had signed the Ancient Covenant with the Hive Mind was due to this Zerg Queen.
It was she who had proactively extended her Psychic Power and sought Yu Zi Yu to negotiate. Otherwise, Yu Zi Yu would not have been able to push the Hive Mind to its limit and complete the Ancient Covenant so smoothly.
…
Now that the Ancient Covenant was signed and the Zergs were essentially half his own people, Yu Zi Yu did not hold back. He strode deeper into the cave without hesitation.
At the same time, in the deepest part of the cave, a woman with long black hair and crimson eyes, flickering with a red glow, slowly stood up and began walking toward the exit. Behind her, a pair of bone wings extended from her back.
This was the Zerg Queen, Shalira, a truly unique existence.
She was born with two Innate Talents: Telepathy and Telekinesis. She possessed extraordinary Psychic Power.
At the moment of her birth, she used her Psychic Power to shatter the consciousness of a Tier-2 Zerg, causing its head to explode.
Now, she had reached the peak of Tier-4, her strength truly terrifying.
Her Soul was so powerful that it was almost tangible, enveloping her. Owing to which, her figure appeared blurred and indistinct.
If Sarcosuchus had reached Tier-5 through sheer physical strength, then Shalira was on the verge of breaking through to Tier-5 through her Soul.
Currently, what limited her was her frail physical body, which was unable to withstand the immense power of her Soul, preventing her from fully unleashing her strength…
*Tap…* As she took a step forward, a cold voice suddenly echoed through the cave, as though she had sensed something, “Disciple Shalira greets Master.”
Even before her arrival, her voice rang out.
When Yu Zi Yu rounded the corner, his playful eyes fell upon a woman with bone wings, radiating a cold yet alluring presence.
This was the Zerg Queen—Shalira, the strange woman who had actively reached out to Yu Zi Yu with her Psychic Power, even requesting to become his Disciple.
At this moment, squinting his eyes slightly, Yu Zi Yu carefully sized her up.
