Lereza knew this man had ruled this Lower Realm for over three million years. This information and everything else they know about the Verdant Vale Lower Realm and the other realms during their mission was collected by Nightveil.
They were grateful to Nightveil. Regardless-
In other words, the Verdant Vale Realm Master didn't bother to ascend like the other Realm Masters and pave the way for future generations. Instead, he built a throne on the realm core and made it his very own royal palace, living lavishly like an emperor despite being a Sect Master.
He was known to be the most selfish and backhanded Realm Master in the current history of forty-eight Realm Masters. Rumors had it that he would also disguise himself as a bandit to hunt down wealthy targets who dared to cross this realm, but there was no evidence, so no one could punish him.
Even if there was eye witnesses and testimonies, his subordinates came forward to take the crime in his stead.
"Sect Master, don't you think that this spirit-fey looks good? How about we keep her to ourselves instead of handing over to the Heaven's Warriors?" coldly cackled another man who wore the same sect uniform.
However, it was less lavish and contained the status of Grand Elder with the number 'second'.
It could be seen he was the Second Grand Elder of the Verdant Vale Sect.
In the same way, the other eight members who surrounded them were also Grand Elders, each of them possessing a cultivation equivalent to Level Four Autarch Stage.
They were also known as the Nine Demonwinds of the Verdant Vale Sect and were said to have a hand in the wrongdoings of Thousand Windblades. Likewise, they didn't have any dirt on them for them to be punished. They weren't under the jurisdiction of any Upper Realm or major powers either since the Founder of the Verdant Vale Sect was also someone who didn't belong to any powers and managed to retain the independence of the realm, and because of its dangerous environment, it had survived the onslaught of many powers.
Still, it wasn't like they could survive on their own, so they were allied with many powers, but in recent times, the eccentric Realm Master of the Verdant Vale Lower Realm seemed to have other thoughts in mind.
He wanted everything for himself and didn't even respect the authority of other powers, choosing to kill geniuses even on many occasions.
He was met with retaliation but had not fallen a single time. He appeared fearless and, at certain times, even successfully hit back. Hence, he earned the name eccentric and wasn't bothered with it anymore as he was nearly undefeatable in his realm.
"…" Lereza's expression turned cold.
She took her gaze off Thousand Windblades and saw the others looking at her with their lecherous eyes and expressions.
She raised her hands and swung her hand, creating a deadly thorned vine. The vine surged forward, crackling with a faint eerie green energy that carried the evergrowing vitality of a Celestial Wood Spirit. It lashed through the air like a serpent, splitting into tens of tendrils that aimed for the foreheads of the Grand Elders.
She intended to finish them off in this one move. There was no mercy.
*PuchI!~*
Her vines instantly managed to stab at least two Grand Elders. Their souls were struck, and they couldn't be any more dead. However, the rest of the Grand Elders, including the Second Grand Elder, managed to escape. ṟÅ𐌽Ȯ฿Êṧ
They released a wind barrier from their bodies, and it rose to meet the vines like a swirling tempest, stopping the vines in their tracks.
But before the vines could pierce through-
"Impudent bitch! Die!"
Thousand Windblades sneered and waved his hand. A giant crimson-green blade erupted and shot towards Lereza. He didn't bother about the vines and directly attacked her, causing Lereza's heart to tremble.
The power of this attack could very well be the near limit of the Third Layer.
She couldn't tell instantly, nor could she move, or the flying ship behind her would be destroyed without a shred of doubt. She instantly summoned the depths of her power and didn't bother to hold back anymore.
"Million Year Wood Wall!"
She extended her arms, her vines retracting and converging together to form a dense, spiraling shield of glowing emerald energy.
The shield of vines expanded, roots burrowing into the space and drawing upon her energy constantly to fortify her defense.
*Bang!~*
The crimson-green wave crashed into the barrier with deafening force, sending shockwaves across the battlefield. The impact lit up the surroundings, bathing the scene in a blinding glow of crimson, green, and emerald light. The aura of extinction was palpable, giving an air of death to the surroundings.
'Crimson extinction winds…!'
Lereza's heart sank. This kind of wind was highly aggressive and sharp. It was similar to extinction lighting, capable of causing great harm to the surface and objects it brushed upon. Receiving it with her power, she could tell that it wasn't something that could be underestimated.
One mistake, and it would be over for her.
Fortunately, the Verdant Vale Realm Master didn't seem to have used his full power on that move, so she survived.
The vines receded, and Lereza looked at him with a somber gaze.
Things didn't look good. There was a Realm Master who didn't seem to care about the consequences.
Evidently, the Verdant Vale Realm Master, Thousand Windblades, was shocked by Lereza's prowess. His shock turned into disbelief before it turned into a face full of wrath and determination that appeared to want to end her before she could grow.
However, the delay in his reaction proved to be quite fatal.
*Bang!~*
Suddenly, a blazing ball of purple-black flames shot out of the flying ship like a cannon bolt. It shot past Lereza's side and headed straight towards Thousand Windblades with explosive speed.
"What!?"
Thousand Windblades' scalp turned numb. He instinctively dodged to the side, and the ball of purple-black flames shot past him. But different than what he expected, the ball of flames continued to traverse forward without turning around.
The defensive formation was directly struck by the purple-black ball of flames. But instead of stopping it, the barrier simply melted in its path. Within a few seconds, the ball of flames completely disappeared from their view.
Thousand Windblades and the seven surviving Grand Elders looked shaken.
"What was that!?" growled Thousand Windblades.
He didn't get a good feeling about that purple-black ball of flames. At first, he thought it was a mere fiery cannonball from an offensive formation in the flying ship, but it was as though it had a mind of its own since he had sensed its life signature when it rushed past him.
Lereza couldn't hide her smile, "I told you won't even receive a warning. But oh well, good luck being called a Realm Master from now on."
"What do you mean?" Thousand Windblades clenched his fists.
"…!"
Before he could even receive an answer, his expression changed.
He could feel the realm core trembling, which could only mean something untoward was going to happen to the core of this realm!
"That's right." Lereza saw through his expression. Her voice became full of pity, "Aiyo, you're going to be hunted down by the enemies you have made in the past few million years. Good luck trying to survive without the aid from a realm core."
"You damned bitch!"
Thousand Windblades' heart sank. He didn't bother with her anymore and shot towards that ball of flames whose aura was increasingly turning terrifying by the second as wisps of purple-black flames began falling in its path.
As he saw those flames, he remembered the characteristics of the flames that consumed the Astral Forgather Minor Realm.
"Apocalyptic flames!!!"
Thousand Windblades let out a scream full of terror!
