Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1021: The Dark Secret's Are Out

The words and explanation from the Dark Faction founder had come to an end, and with them all stuck in a strange spell that none of them could break, they had no choice but to play along with his whims and trials.

The issue was, it was quite hard for many of them to believe.

"We are to be the judge, what does that even mean?" Impress asked.

"Well, stranger things have happened, right?" Beatrix replied. "The whole situation with this island, and even how we are here now, none of it makes sense. Including the portal

dimensions opening."

That was one thing that was true. For Beatrix who had no answers, she had been given answers. The issue was it was from a side that was not her own so she couldn't fully trust it, but it was the only answer currently.

"So all of us are going to see each other's darkest memories... it's still hard to believe."

The large mist in the center started to spin. The head of the Dark Faction founder continued to spin more and more going past each and everyone one of them. As the head was spinning the lighting runes beneath their feet would light up slightly brighter.

Then finally the head stopped, and it had stopped at Lince himself.

"The dark memories in your life will now be shown."

A light started to shine from beneath Lince's feet, and a rune had appeared on his head. Right after, the area's beneath the other seven in the room started to light up, and images, memories from the point of view of Lince started to appear.

It started off showing Lince in the Demonic Faction from a young age. Being tasked by his clan elders to do numerous things. It started off as spying and gathering information, but quickly it had turned to killings.

Ambushes and more. The rough life of the Lost Clan was being put on full display, eventually leading to just before Lince had achieved his position as Clan Head. Infighting had occurred, two groups forming against each other.

In the end, Lince was the winner having bested his own family member, his uncle. In doing so he had achieved the position as head of the Lost Clan. Since it was just showing one's darkest memories.

It had only shown the confrontation, and had managed to share the feelings and thoughts one had to the others at the time. What needed to be done, to kill his own family member, and not the reason behind it.

After that, there was one more thing that was displayed. An order from Lince, for the Lost Clan members to kill all of the Behemoth Clan, no matter how little their involvement was. After that the vision had faded from each of their minds, and they found themselves all back in the dark room.

"Now that was a strange feeling, and certainly an invasion of privacy." Lince commented. "It's a shame, although I would have to say that these are some of my darkest moments, there is no context explained behind them."

"Why I had to fight against my own uncle, or the changes that I made with the Lost Clan after. Although I honestly don't feel like explaining myself." Lince waved his hand.

Being from the Demonic Faction, Lince had believed that he had already lost this. It was more likely that someone from the Light Faction who followed stubborn rules was selected. Despite his true wish to save Pagna.

All he could rely on, was Raze and Zon at this point, to have a better impression than the others.

The head started to spin in the center moving quickly. Each person looked to be somewhat nervous as to what would be revealed to the others. Some of them not even knowing what would be shown.

Eventually the head had stopped, and it had landed on Impress from the Light Faction. The same situation occurred with a rune appearing on her forehead, and then all of those could see her visions.

They were taken back, to the Light Faction, inside a fancy manor. Impress looked to be around thirty years younger or so. They went through her having several conversations with men, and not just any men, but mainly of the Elders at the time.

As these scenes played out, it eventually led to her and the elders ending up in the bedroom, and the others were able to witness everything. This didn't just happen once, it happened many times.

Then finally it showed, Impress getting the position of Elder, and by her side, were many of the elders who she had slept with. The vision had ended there, and immediately, Impress's face was bright red.

She didn't even know what to say, no words were leaving her mouth.

"Elder Impress..." Beatriz said wanting to say something. So many of the women in the clan looked up to her, and this was not the Light Faction way. Although there were no bribes or exhortations of sort, she had clearly gained favor to get to the position she was in.

"I still worked hard!" Impress eventually shouted out. "I had the talent to achieve the Elder position. It wasn't just because of those memories! And don't think you are any better, wait until we see what you have done as well!" Impress pointed toward Beatrix.

"This is interesting." Lince said. "Maybe it won't be as straightforward as I thought. It makes me wonder, if it takes our own morals into account. If killing isn't seen as so bad, but one is heavily against sexual acts, maybe our own minds will pick another... at least in the Demonic Faction it's expected to do things that I have done."

"But for a Light Faction member, this shows pure greed, and I wouldn't want it in her hands."

The large head was already on the move, spinning around, and once again it had landed on another member of the Light Faction, it had landed on Ricar.

As the vision showed what was occurring to them all, a very recent memory had appeared. Down at the Martial Arts Tournament, while they were underground. It showed two

memories.

Ricar getting involved in the fight trying to get rid of Raze and Murkel at the same time, as for the second image, it was Ricar stealing the artifact.

The vision had ended there, and when Ricar turned to look at Beatrix, he avoided eye contact.

"Ha, this is hilarious!" Red claimed. "I'm starting to like this Dark Faction founder."

The head started to spin again, and once more it had landed on another member of the Light Faction, it had landed on Beatrix.

There was a smug smile that had appeared on Impress's face, as she couldn't wait to see what had occurred.

She was in a flower shop in the town. A tray of sweet treats had been laid out for customers. Beatrix was seen enjoying one of the sweet treats, and before she knew it she had taken

another.

After eating the second one, that's when she noticed a sign right by the sweet treats, stating that they were only one per customer. Right after, the vision had ended there. "That's it!" Impress shouted. "Her darkest moment was taking one too many sweets!"

Impress was hoping it would be a mistake that maybe they would see some more, but the head already started to spin, and there were only three they had yet to see. Eventually the head had stopped, landing on Zon.
